The University of Mary Marauders

This week's NDPF Male Athlete of the Week is Logan Nelson. The returning All-American quarterback had his finest performance of the season thus far in Saturday's home game vs the ranked #14 University of Sioux Falls Cougars. Nelson began the game driving the Marauders down the field for a 12 play, 75 yard drive which ended in a 16 yard touchdown pass to Traivon Dyson on fourth down. The Marauders scored again early in the second quarter when Nelson hit Luke Bodine over the middle for a 22 yard touchdown. The Marauders then blocked a punt on the following drive which Nelson quickly capitalized on with a 3 yard touchdown pass to Danny Kittner on the very next play. Nelson would throw his fourth touchdown of the game to Dave Small Jr. from 11 yards out early in the second half. The senior quarterback from Billings, MT finished the game throwing 21-31 for 196 yard, 4 touchdown passes, and also picked up 24 yards on the ground.
