The University of Mary Marauders

Victoria Murillo is this week's North Dakota Petroleum Foundation Female Athlete of the Week. The UMary swimming team officially began its season at home in the BSC Aquatic Center Saturday afternoon against Jamestown. The Marauders won the event over the Jimmies with an overall score of 169-110, and winning all but four of the 16 events. Murillo excelled Saturday as the graduate senior from Cancun, Mexico claimed three individual victories in the 200 free, 50 free and 500 free, plus the opening leg in a 200 free relay win. The seven-time Northern Sun champion Murillo was also named UMary's Swimmer to Watch by the NSIC heading into competition.
