JOPLIN, MO – Leading the University of Mary men's cross country season once again during championship season, Caleb Hansen placed 23^rd at the 2023 NCAA Central Region Championships to cap off a tremendous finish to the season for the sophomore.
 
After earning All-Northern Sun first team honors two weeks prior, Hansen followed up by claiming NCAA All-Region accolades. Hansen finished the 10K run on the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course on the campus of Missouri Southern State University in 31:20.1, and earned regional recognition with his top 25 finish.
 
Eli Hansen, Caleb's younger brother, placed 56^th overall. The freshman finished the course 32:19.7.
 
Andrew Scheer was third across the finish line for the Marauders, placing 129^th in 33:53.9.
 
Overall the Marauders finished 20^th in the team standings in the 29-team 196-individual regional race.

• Luke Fundak placed 161^st (35:02.9)
• Max Lefor finished 184^th (36:17.2)
