SPEARFISH, SD – In their final meet prior to the Northern Sun championships, the 15
th ranked University of Mary women's track & field team posted strong performances across the board at the Stinger Open. In the two-day meet hosted by Black Hills State University, the Marauders posted four NCAA qualifying times and won six events.
Chriss-Ann Thomas posted her best time of the season in the 200 meter dash, crossing the finish line in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 24.65 (after conversion for altitude and track size) and ranks 20
th in the country.

Elizabeth Acheson and Thomas cruised through the 4x400 meter relay with a winning time of 3:54.09, an NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
Lexus Lovan dominated the long jump, posting the meet's best performance with an NCAA provisional qualifying distance of 6.04 meters (19'9.75"). Lovan's effort broke the school record of 19'6" set in 1998 by All-American and UMary and NAIA Hall of Fame member Jamey Mulske.
Nelecia Richards owned the top time in the 600 meter run (1:43.32).
Tereza Bolibruch breezed through the 60 meter hurdle finals in a winning time of 9.03 seconds. She was clocked in 8.97 seconds in the preliminaries.
Courtney Dembrowski won the 800 meter finals in 2:18.58.
Shantelle Rule was second in the high jump after clearing the bar at 1.51 meters.
Nicole Kramchynsky posted a season-best toss of 13,23 meters in the shot put to claim second.
Shawnee Hansen was third in the 400 meter run (1:00.44).
Amanda Forliti claimed third in the 3,000 meter race (11:18.63).
Angela Moser placed fourth in the 200 meter dash (27.31 seconds).
On the opening day of the meet, the Marauders quartet of
Taylor Hestekin, Thomas, Acheson and
Ida Narbuvoll registered the nation's best mark this season in the Distance Medley Relay, registering an NCAA automatic qualifying time of 11:41.43 after an adjustment for altitude and track type.
The Marauders next compete at the Northern Sun championships on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 28-29, in Mankato, MN.
