A two-time All-American and the White team alumni captain, Toby Schweitzer remains the Marauders all-time tackles leader with 410. The owner of the top three single season tackle totals in school history, he was the first football player elected to the Marauders Hall of Fame. A Bismarck, N.D., native, Toby is one of 10 children of Andrew and Marge Schweitzer. He graduated from St. Mary's in 1985 and attended Dickinson State University and Moorhead State University before transferring to U-Mary. Toby started at inside linebacker on the first three Marauders varsity squads, registering 139 tackles in 1988, 131 in 1989 and a school-record 140 in 1990. After receiving honorable mention All-American honors in 1989, he earned first team recognition in 1990, the first Marauders player to do so. As a senior, he played next to his brother Trent at linebacker, until Trent suffered a season-ending injury. His younger brother Tanner also played for the Marauders. A 1990 graduate of U-Mary with a degree in Business Administration, Toby is an entrepreneur who owns Outback Management Services and is involved in insurance, investments and consulting. He has coached football at St. Mary's for 23 years and was the Saints wrestling coach from 1990-2003. Married to Cathy, the couple has four children, Alexi, a freshman at U-Mary, Lindsey, Hallie and Sommer.
