A Bismarck, ND, native who chose to compete collegiately in her home town, Lesley Jacobson displayed impressive prowess in both women’s basketball and volleyball at the University of Mary. After joining the Marauders in the fall of 1990, Jacobson capped her career by leading UMary to the 1993-94 women’s basketball national tournament, a first for the program. The team went 21-6 overall and captured an NDCAC title. A point guard, Jacobson managed to finish among career leaders in scoring, rebounds and assists, an amazing feat. She scored 901 points (now 25th all-time), snared 500 rebounds (15th) and distributed 392 assists (5th).
