University of Mary Athletics

A native of Anamoose, ND, Joan Weltz has played an integral role in the growth and success of the University of Mary athletic department since nearly the inception of the program. The UMary Transfer Counselor, Weltz began working in the admissions department in 1973. Since then she has worked closely with the Marauders coaching staff on virtually all student-athletes who have transferred to UMary, from reviewing transcripts to tracking their enrollment into classes and advocating on their behalf. From the start of classes to graduation and after, student-athletes who transfer to UMary view Weltz more a family member than just a staff member.
