A two-time All-American and a four-time all-conference kicker for Mary, Jason Arenz became just the second football player elected to the Marauders Athletic Hall of Fame. A 1989 graduate of Mandan High School, Jason played four seasons for the Marauders (1989-92). He joined the Marauders for their second season of varsity football in 1989 and earned All-North Dakota College Athletic Conference honors as a true freshman. He added all-region citations the next season before also claiming All-American honors in 1991 as the program experienced its first winning season. As a senior in 1992, Jason established what is still a school record when he hit four field goals in a single game against both Rocky Mountain and Minot State. He hit 12 field goals on the year – still a school record – and earned first team All-American honors as the Marauders won their first conference title. Coach Bella Belogh was instrumental in Jason's success at the University of Mary by making him kick barefoot. Jason also remembers that as a freshman at Mary he ONCE parked in Sister Thomas Welder's spot. "Boy did she track me down and embarrass me. Let's just say it was the last time that ever happened!!"

A 1993 graduate from Mary with a degree in business administration, Jason is president of the BNC National Bank in Mandan. He and Tricia, his wife of 15 years, have three boys; Evan (14 years old), Blake (13) and Seth (11). Jason remains active in coaching all three sons in baseball, basketball, soccer and football and enjoys fishing, bow hunting, vacationing and good family time. Jason has been president of the Mandan Park Board Commissioners for a decade and is a board member for the Missouri Valley Family YMCA (six years) and president of the Mandan Boys Basketball Club.
