A highly recruited Mandan, ND, high school athlete, Cindy started her college career at NCAA D-I Illinois State University on a track scholarship. Transferring to U-Mary after one semester, she made an immediate impact. In spring of 1995, she led the Marauders to regional and national recognition, helping U-Mary to win three indoor and three outdoor NDCAC track titles.

“Cindy was an outstanding hurdler/jumper who opened the door for future Marauders at the national level, paving the way for a streak of Marauder national championships in the multi events,” says Coach Mike Thorson.

Wearing the blue and orange, Cindy was a six-time NAIA All American in track and the 1996 NAIA Indoor National Champion in the pentathlon multi event. She also holds the NAIA national pentathlon high jump record of 5-8 1/2.

A dedicated student, as well as an athlete, Cindy earned her degree in social behavioral science in only 3 1/2 years. She lives with her husband Ryan in Bismarck and is a pharmaceutical rep for the Eli Lilly Co.
